Named to Golf Digest’s 2016 Best Golf Resorts in the Southwest and boasting the #1 and #3 golf courses you can play in Texas as ranked by GOLF Magazine, it’s no secret that Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is one of the most sought after golf destinations in the nation. Located in the heart of tranquil Texas Hill Country, yet with the action of Texas’ vibrant capital city just minutes away, the resort features four distinct courses that make for one unforgettable getaway. Join us, on Monday, May 8 for our 15th annual Golf Classic at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, TX. When two-time Masters Champion and Austin native Ben Crenshaw partnered with architect Bill Coore to design this course, he adhered to his design philosophy that “the best architect is nature.” With lush, wide sweeping fairways lined by densely packed trees that will devour errant tee shots, the Coore Crenshaw Cliffside course challenges golfers with its approach to large, well-contoured greens. Not an incredibly long course, the layout is forgiving for the novice, yet still challenging for the seasoned golfer. Golfers will earn every putt on undulating Champion Bermuda greens of all shapes, as challenging as they are massive. It is fitting that one of the game’s legendary putters would plot a course with greens that keep golfers on their cleated toes. The course highlight is the 18th hole, an exciting climax that plays slightly uphill. Golfers must achieve approach shots across a running creek to land on a low-lying green, which is seemingly etched into the hillside. The fee is $150 per person to play. Dress Code: All golfers must wear shirts with collars and slacks or golf shorts (golf shirts will be provided by Transplace during registration). Denim or blue jeans are not allowed. Golf shoes with non-metal or spikeless design are preferred. Please note that individuals not conforming to this dress code will not be allowed on the golf course.
